Earthquakes in Tjörnes Fracture Zone


Since yesterday has been some earthquake activity a few km from the island Grímsey north of Iceland. The size of the quakes has been upp to 2.

Grímsey is in the Tjörnes Fracture Zone that connects the northern volcanic zone of Iceland to the Kolbeinsey Ridge which is a part of the Atlantic Ridge.
